Fetch 3.03 for the Apple Mac

1. Install the program by double clicking the Fetch Installer. Follow the prompts.
2. Connect to the internet. If you use a telephone modem, start your brower or email program will do the trick. If you have a cable modem or if your computer connects to the internet via a
router, you don't have to do this, you're connected anyway.
3. Start Fetch 3.03
4. A Window will come up. Fill it in as follows
- Host: ftp.lynos.com.au
- User id: as supplied by us
- password: as supplied by us
- directory: leave this blank
5. Click OK
6. You should see a folder in the Fetch window with the same name as your user id. You can drag things in or out of the folder. It's your folder on our inhouse server.
7. Go to File/Save Bookmark and save as "Lyno's FTP". This will make a bookmark file with these settings in it, although you still have to type your password each time.
8. Before you do anything else your need to configure Fetch to "encode" your files as Macintosh:
- Go to Customise/Preferences/upload
- Set Default text format to MacBinary II
- Set default non-text format to MacBinary II
- Click "Add .bin to MacBinary" files on.
- Quit Fetch to save the preferences.
Now restart Fetch by clicking on the Bookmark file you saved. Type your password and you should connect.
Now try copying a job into you folder and then drag it our again to a new location. Check your files are still OK. Try it with documents, images and fonts. make sure they all come back with
