ElectroInk. Real Ink on the Right Paper

ElectroInk is a proprietary liquid ink developed for the E-Print's unique digital offset plate and process. Unlike toner used in other digital printing machines, it's colour and gloss are identical to the inks used in conventional offset printing. Unlike all other digital printing machines the quality of the layer of ElectroInk allows very good characteristics for folding and scouring without the cracking and rippling that occurs with a heavy coverage of dry toner.

Because the E-Print uses the offset process it can handle a very wide range of stock weights and surfaces. These include many gloss and matt arts, cast coated and laid stocks, including stocks with rough or rippled surfaces, up to 350gsm.

A big improvement over conventional offset is that the ElectroInk dries instantly so jobs come out ready to finish in most cases.

Screening

Unlike other digital printing processes which usually use special laser modulation techniques to build up an image, the E-Print uses the conventional rosette dot formation used in offset printing.
This, together with the colour and gloss of the ink result in jobs that match litho offset to an uncanny degree. It makes E-Print the perfect solution for mockups and digital proofs, as well as for short runs.

If you need to see how a jobs will look on press you can find out by E-printing it. If you need 200 copies while you get 20,000 done by conventional litho, you know that they will match and that they can be on the same weight and type of stock. You want it on 300gsm gloss art, that's what you get.

Sharper

The E-Print prints type and process colours appreciably sharper than dry toner photocopier type machines, and at much higher resolution. ElectroInk is applied to the paper in a semi-solid state. Any liquid content is quickly removed and the precisely deposited ink bonds instantly to the paper surface.
Instant drying allows the E-Print to immediately duplex for automated two-sided printing of the sheet.
